Newsflash

Naomi House is a children’s hospice based at Sutton Scotney near Winchester supporting children and families with Life limiting and life threatening illnesses. We cover 7 counties and have children from the Romsey area come to us for respite. We need volunteers to help raise the awareness of Naomi House, to receive training to go into schools, colleges, local groups to tell people about what we do at both Naomi House and Jacksplace. We also need people to form a committee in the Romsey area which will arrange their own events, raise funds and promote the hospice. If there is anyone who would like to help, but doesn’t want to commit to a regular time or day, then we have collection pots in the area that need collecting and changing. Antiques Roadshow - Winchester

The Antiques Roadshow will be filming for its 33rd series at Winchester Cathedral, on Thursday, 23rd September, 2010, with presenter Fiona Bruce. The doors open at 9.30 am and close at 4.30pm. Entry is free. Some of Britain’s leading antiques and fine arts specialists will be on hand to offer free advice and valuations to visitors, who are invited to raid their attics and bring along their family heirlooms, household treasures and car boot bargains for inspection by the experts. If you live around Romsey, why not drop in to our Job Club on a Wednesday morning between 9.30 and 12.30?

We can't offer you a job, but we can offer you help in finding one. You can browse for jobs on our computers (we'll show you how). You can prepare your cv (we'll give you tips on how to present it), and you can pick up some tips on how to get through an interview. All in an informal setting, with a cup of tea or coffee.
